Just some notes for the parents that were not at the meeting

• Cost of trip; £430 – 3 nights bed, breakfast & evening meal, insurance, skiing kit (helmet, poles, boots & skies)

• Children will buy lunch on the slopes. €10 approx per lunch

• Spending money – I will look after their money if placed in envelopes labelled Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. They will need to look after any spending money that they will use between Llantrisant & Austria.

• Entertainment organised by teachers – Folk dancing (axes & saws provided), swimming at local leisure centre (indoor pool for softies, outdoor pool for those who are tough enough), Austria bowling - €15 per activity (this will be collected at hotel or given to me on the day of departure)

• The bus drivers will have soft drinks, hot drinks, water and chocolate for sale. Usually they charge 60p or €1 for everything. They will be available to buy throughout the trip.

• Each child must have a passport with valid for at least another six months from day of departure.

• Each child must have E111 cards. They can be ordered on line, by phone or at local post office. Don’t leave until last minute as they can take between a few days to two weeks to arrive.

• Kit –all pupils will need goggles (to be worn at all times when on the slope) saloppetts, skiing jacket, skiing gloves (not woollen), skiing socks or thick socks, thermal vest or skins, sun tan lotion – a high factor that can be applied whilst on the mountain

TK MAX and www.manmdirect.com are two places where you can buy kit at very reasonable prices

• Pupils will not be separated from their friends. If they do share, which is unlikely, they will be one or two friends of their choice

• Pupils can bring a pillow and a sleeping bag for comfort whilst travelling. For entertainment they are allowed ipods, DSs, PSPs Dvd players, books etc but it will be up to the children to look after them. I will not be responsible for them.

• Mobiles are allowed but I will look after them. They will be returned for 10mins after evening meal to phone home. Children do not have to take a mobile, it is up to parents
