Cardiff City Football Community Foundation area not profit organisation that have recently became one of a limited number of clubs to receive the Bronze Award from the Professional Footballers Association and The Football League, after meeting criteria sanctioned by these governing bodies.
Every year they deliver a series of sessions over a six week period to one class. These sessions do not cost the school a single penny as they organise a Sponsored Penalty Shoot-out event to help cover costs. This year’s event takes place on the afternoon of 30th June.
This event results is a great fun day for the children as well as providing valuable funds for both the Cardiff City Community Foundation department and Penygawsi Primary School.
This sponsored event also offers a number of prizes for the school when the total sponsorship raised has been confirmed, different prizes for the different amounts of money are shown below;
Ø £1000 raised – school will receive a signed shirt & 2 sets of match tickets
Ø £800 raised – school will receive a signed ball & 2 sets of match tickets
Ø £600 raised – school will receive 2 sets of match tickets
Ø Every child who raises over £15 will receive a small gift
Ø Every child who participates will receive a certificate
The total amount raised will be split 50/50 between the Community Foundation and the school, enabling the coaches to revisit a different class next year.
